#311: Sooner Rather Then Later
This phrase is used a lot at my work to describe when someone wants something done, and it bothers me as a stupid thing to say that people must think sounds clever to say. Severity: 1

I loathe that phrase.
Several people in my office preface each question with "Now let me ask you this" followed by a long pause and then the actual question. I wonder if the pause is to accomodate drum roll that only they can hear.
They do this even when they have a long list of questions to ask.
Drives me nuts.
